Early Voting Starts Today

Today is the first day in which residents living in Georgia House District 21 and Georgia Senate District 21 can vote in the Jan. 8, 2013, special election.

Starting today, voters can cast their ballots ahead of the Jan. 8, 2013, special election.

Early voting to fill the state House District 21 and Senate District 21 seats will be held at the Stone Elections Building in downtown Canton. 

Voting will be held each day through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It will resume Dec. 27-28, on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2-4, 2013, during those same hours. No early voting on Saturdays will be scheduled. 

The office will be closed Dec. 24-26 and on Jan. 1 for the holidays.

Voters in the state house seat will choose between Republicans Scot Turner, Brian Laurens, Kenneth Mimbs and Democrat Natalie Bergeron.

Senate District 21 voters will have their choice of State Rep. Sean Jerguson (R-Holly Springs) and Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Brandon Beach. 

Only voters in the 29 out of 42 county precincts that cover both seats can cast ballots for the election. Voters can click here to see which precincts will cast ballots in the election. 

The election scheduled for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 8, 2013 at those selected precincts.
