I-575 Guardrail Repairs Set for Thursday

The repair on both sides of the interstate will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Commuters that use Interstate 575 may have to deal with traffic delays as the Georgia Department of Transportation will make repairs to its guardrails.

Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday, the left lane of I-575 northbound will be closed between mile markers 21 and 23 and the left lane on the southbound will be closed during the same time from mile markers 23 to 21.

Those mile markers are just north of Canton between Exits 20 and 24.

The closures will allow GDOT's contractor to repair the damaged guard rails in the area. The repairs and lane closures are dependent on weather conditions and are subject to change.
