Residents Join Hands in Prayer

Woodstock residents gather in the City Park to celebrate the National Day of Prayer.

Woodstock city officials, church members and residents joined hands around the fountain as they prayed for the government, media, education, families, military, businesses and church on the .

The Cherokee Christian Ministerial Association sponsored the 60th annual Day of Prayer that was held in the and had various Woodstock speakers lead the topic-based prayers.

Scott White of provided the music at the beginning of the prayers.

Psalm 91:2 was the focus of this year's event, "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I put my trust."
