Today Is The Deadline To Register To Vote

Cherokee County residents have until 5 p.m. to register to vote in the Nov. 6 general election.

Today is your last chance to register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 6 general election. Residents wishing to register can visit the Cherokee County Elections and Voter Registration's website to download the form.

All applications must be postmarked by today in order for the registration to be valid. Those registered will also have the chance to vote nearly a month in advance of Election Day.  

Early voting will start on Monday and will be held during the week through Friday Oct. 26 at the elections office. It will also be held Saturday Oct. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the elections office, as well as at Ball Ground Public Library, Hickory Flat Public Library, Rose Creek Public Library and Woodstock Public Library.

Advanced voting will continue at the aforementioned locations between 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 29-Nov.2 and all polling precincts will be open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Election Day.
