Woodstock Aiming For Parks, Recreation Accreditation

The city will host a committee from an accreditation organization tonight in downtown Woodstock.

The city of Woodstock is taking steps towards gaining accreditation for its Parks and Recreation Department.

The city will host a committee from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) tonight at 6 p.m. at the Chambers at City Center in downtown Woodstock.

The commission, overseen by the National Recreation and Parks Association, is the only national body that grants accreditation to parks and recreation agencies across the state.

The accreditation process includes various steps to ensure every aspect of a agency in question is up to par with the organization's standards.
