Woodstock Approves RaceTrac Gas Station

The new convenience store with gas sales would sit along Ridgewalk Parkway across the street from the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta's main entrance.

A new convenience store with gas sales is slated to come to Ridgewalk Parkway.

The Woodstock City Council on Monday voted to unanimously approve a conditional use permit from RaceTrac Petroleum to operate a convenience store with gas sales on 2.451 acres near the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta.

The parcel sits on the north side of Ridgewalk Parkway between the northbound entrance ramp of I-575 and Rope Mill Road.

The convenience store would sit directly across the street from Chick-Fil-A and McDonald's.

A few residents in the neighboring Meridian at Ridgewalk neighborhood expressed some concerns about noise that would come from the development while other local gas station owners noted their business could be in jeopardy if RaceTrac were to open up shop.

RaceTrac representatives noted they would work with the city to ensure residents in the adjacent neighborhood would experience minimal impact on their quality of life in their homes.
