Woodstock To Consider Road Paving Contract

If approved, areas such as the Mill Street parking lot and Main Street from the railroad tracks to Haney Road will be resurfaced.

The Woodstock City Council on Monday consider awarding a contract to a company to perform various resurfacing projects throughout the city. 

The council will consider approving the contract with Wildcat Striping and Sealing  during its meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. at the Chambers at City Center.

The proposed contract would be for the Decatur-based company to make repairs and pave the areas of Mill Street parking lot, Woodstock Community Center parking lot, Moccasin Trail, Bear Cave Trail, Main Street from the railroad tracks to Haney Road, Mill Street and Pinehill Drive for $278,196. 

The project is being funded using 2014 Local Maintenance Improvement Grant funds from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
