Woodstock To Repair Mill Street Parking Lot

The parking lot at the corner of Mill and Market streets will be closed periodically over the next few weeks as the city makes improvement.

The city of Woodstock will embark on improving the parking lot at the corner of Mill and Market streets, which will mean the city will have to periodically close the lot to public use.

The first closure will take place on Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10, which is needed to prepare the area for light installation. This parking lot sits behind shops such as Natural Strides and Cupcakelicious.

Downtown business employees and customers as well as other visitors will not be able to use the lot during this time.

Alternative parking will be available at the Woodstock United Methodist Church parking lot (public parking only on Monday through Saturday), the parking lot behind the Chambers at City Center at 8534 Main Street and the on-street parking along both Market and Maple streets.

The paving work is expected to be finished no later than June 30, the city said.
