Woodstock Trolley Back in Action

The trolley will give residents free rides throughout the downtown area and near the outlet mall throughout the month of December.

Residents who desire to dine, shop and attend events in downtown Woodstock next month will soon have an easier way to navigate the central business district.

The trolley the Downtown Development Authority is leasing from Cherokee County will once again hit the streets during the holiday season. The trolley will run Fridays and Saturdays Dec. 6-22 throughout the city.

Hours for Fridays are between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., noon to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The city will also run the trolley noon to 10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23 and noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24.

Like last year, the trolley will be free to ride, and will stop at public parking lots throughout downtown. It will make stops near city restaurants and stores in the city's core and make stops at the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta.

The city had to temporarily sideline the trolley last year due to problems, but they were able to be resolved before the end of the year.
