Cherokee Bus Drivers Compete in Road-E-O

The county's best bus drivers competed against each other to determine the safest and most technically proficient among them.

Bus drivers with the Cherokee County School District's Transportation Department battled against one another to determine the winner of the county's 2013 Road-E-O on May 6.

The Road-E-O consists of a bus safety check, followed by a challenging obstacle course designed to test drivers' abilities to safely but expertly handle their machines.

22 bus drivers competed in the 2013 Road-E-O, and performed maneuvers such as serpentines, parallel parking, offset alley exercises and diminishing clearance and stopping maneuvers.
