Cherokee Foundation Awards Grants to School District

The Cherokee County Educational Foundation awarded more than $3,250 in grants.

The Cherokee County Educational Foundation has awarded more grants to the Cherokee County School District.

The foundation issued the second round of its Rapid Grants to the district, which totaled more than $3,250, to schools in an effort to show the foundation's appreciation for their participation in its For The Love of Education T-shirt campaign.

The campaign can be used at each principal's discretion towards school improvement. The second annual For The Love of Education fundraising campaign is underway, and local businesses, organizations and residents are encouraged to donate to the cause.

Donors who give at least $100 will receive an emblem to display in their business or on their car and will be recognized on the foundation's website

Recognition levels are: platinum, $5,000 or more; gold, $2,500-$4,999; silver, $1,000-$2,499; bronze, $500-$999; and friend, $100-$499.
