Cherokee School Board To Get E-SPLOST Update

Board Chair Janet Read made the request to receive an update to the district's Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program.

The Cherokee County School Board is expected to hear an update to its education sales tax program during its meeting tonight.

The board will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the historic Canton High School/School Board auditorium in downtown Canton.

The request for an update to the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program was made by Board Chair Janet Read.Β 

Board members will also recognize Carmel Elementary School and Clark Creek STEM Academy for participation in the district's Parental Awareness For Safe Schools, or PASS, initiative, students who've received scholarships and consider approving special lease agreements.
