Cherokee Schools Will Soon Launch Pre-Kindergarten Registration

Students who are registered will enter a lottery drawing to fill the vacancies at seven schools that house pre-kindergarten classes.

Registration for pre-kindergarten classes in Cherokee County will begin later this month, with a vacancy lottery to be held in May.

According to the Cherokee County School District, registration will begin on April 29 at Ball Ground, Canton, Hasty, Oak Grove and R.M. Moore Elementary Schools and Little River Preschool and the Ralph Bunche Center.

Registration will take place daily between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. from April 29 until May 10. On May 16, a lottery drawing will be held at each school with the names of registered students to fill vacancies.
