Cherokee Students Head Back to Class on Wednesday

The Cherokee County School District on Wednesday will resume normal operations after canceling classes for students on Monday and Tuesday.

After spending two days at home due to bitterly cold temperatures, students in the Cherokee County School District will soon return to classes.

The district announced it will open schools and offices at their normal hours on Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday's dangerously cold temperatures propelled the district to cancel classes for students. District staff returned to work Tuesday morning.

Temperatures tonight will hover around 16 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Wednesday's high temperature will seem comparatively balmy, with highs reaching the lower 40s.
