Eagles Make Early Exit from Baseball Playoffs

Here's what's happening in high school athletics in Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch on May 9.

When the state’s fifth-ranked stumbled a little bit during the last week of the regular season with a loss to Region 5-AAAAA opponents Marietta, 19-2, it was supposed to be just a hiccup, especially since during the regular season finale, Etowah thumped Lassiter to finish the season in a dead tie at the top of the region.

But the Eagles we bounced from the GHSA 5A State Baseball Tournament on Saturday with a . This was after a split of a doubleheader on Friday.
