Family History Conference and Workshop

A conference put together by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is inviting everyone in the community to come learn how to do family history research. The conference is focusing on “Building Your Family Tree” and will feature guest speakers and have workshop classes focusing on specifics of family history and genealogy.

Workshop classes include learning locations of family history centers in your local areas, using online resources including familysearch.org, how to search using county records and military records, scrapbooking and ways of preserving your own family history, African American genealogy and building your family tree.

The conference will take place on Saturday, July 14 from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. It is free to anyone in the community. Located at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building in Woodstock (2205 Bascomb Carmel Rd., Woodstock).
