Last Chance: Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration is sneaking up this week.

Parents will need to register their children entering kindergarten or first grade for the first time Thursday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. or on Friday between 9 a.m. and noon.

Parents, remember children who are 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible for kindergarten registration. Children who are 6 years old on or before Sept. 1 are elibile for first grade registration.

Students who will be enrolling in school for the first time and will attend the new Clark Creek Elementary School should register at Oak Grove Elementary, according to the Cherokee County School District website. students who will attend Clark Creek in the fall as part of the school redistricting plan don't need to register.

The registration takes place at the elementary school your child will be attending, and students are permitted to attend.
