Police: Expect "Heavy Traffic" On Highway 92 For Graduations
The Cherokee County School District will hold graduation ceremonies Thursday, Friday and Saturday at First Baptist Church of Woodstock.
Motorists who routinely use Highway 92 and Trickum Road in Woodstock as part of their commute may want to find another way to get home later this week.
The Woodstock Police Department is warning residents to expect "heavy traffic" Thursday, Friday and Saturday as First Baptist Church of Woodstock will host graduation ceremonies for the six Cherokee County traditional high schools.
Heavy traffic delays will be expected along Highway 92 in both directions and on Trickum Road at least an hour before the start of each ceremony.

Thursday, May 29

- Cherokee High School at 4 p.m.
- Sequoyah High School at 8 p.m.
Friday, May 30
- River Ridge High School at 4 p.m.
- Etowah High School at 8 p.m.
Saturday, May 31
- Woodstock High School at 8 a.m.
- Creekview High School at 1 p.m.
Uniformed Woodstock officers will be posted to assist with traffic flow.
However, the agency recommends motorists avoid the area and to use alternate routes if possible.
