Online Registration Dates:

Online registration begins Monday, December 5, 2011 as well as walk/mail in registration.
Online registration closes on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 @ 11:00 PM. After the 22nd, you must register on race day morning.

* You may also register by coming into the Recreation Center to fill out a registration form or mailing a registration form and check to CRPA Attn: Kate Borden: 7545 Main Street Bldg 200 Woodstock, Ga 30188. After online registration closes, you will have to register on race day morning. Please make all checks out to CRPA.

Race Packets: 

You can pick up your race packets at the Recreation Center on February 23rd from 8am-7pm or 24th from 8am-5pm or on race day starting at 7am. 


Brief Description

Together with the Cherokee County Fire Department (Hoses) and the County Sheriff’s Department (Guns), Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency will be hosting its sixth annual 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run. This year it will be in memory of Aleena Miller. The purpose of this run is to raise money for charity causes selected by both groups. Both groups have decided to give to the Hope and Light Foundation which helps children like Aleena, with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). When registering, you will pick the team that you want to represent on race day and $5 of your fee will go towards this charity. The department that has the most registrants will win a trophy.
Moisture-Wicking shirts in white/red for the Hoses and white/black for the Guns will be made available in your race packet for all 5K participants only. (Shirt size selections will be guaranteed for those that register by February 3rd ONLY).
Additional Information

All 1 mile Fun Run participants will earn a commemorative medal. For the 5K race, awards will be given in both male and female divisions and in a variety of age groups as well. Registration begins on December 5th.
