Kickin' It for the Cure

The River Ridge High School and Creekview High School girls varsity and junior varsity soccer teams are raising breast cancer awareness through their Kickin’ It for the Cure campaign. The teams are working together to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. River Ridge HS has challenged Creekview HS to see which school can raise the most money for breast cancer awareness. The campaign will culminate on Thursday, April 12, 2012 when the teams face off in matches on the field at River Ridge HS. The varsity game is at 5 p.m.; the junior varsity game is at 7 p.m. Each school is selling T-shirts for $12, which includes admission to the game. For a donation of $10, the name of a person who has survived breast cancer or who lost her life to breast cancer will be added to a banner to be displayed at the game. A ceremony will be held between the games in recognition of those honored by the banner.  The school is at 400 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock, GA 30188.  For information, call (770) 591-8450.
