KSU SALES EDUCATION GOLF CLASSIC

The Center for Professional Selling (CPS), housed in the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University (KSU), along with Northside Hospital – Cherokee, will host its second annual Sales Education Golf Classic (SEGC) at Towne Lake Hills Golf Club on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 9am.

“The future of sales is important to our sluggish economy.  It is imperative that we produce ethical sales people who understand that sales is a noble career and that done properly, a sales person can solve problems and create value for organizations.  That is part of our mission at the Center for Professional Selling at KSU.  Our budgets have been impacted by state funding cuts; the Sales Education Golf Classic will help us continue to work with young, potential sales persons who will contribute ethically to the sales profession and to our economy,” said Dr. Gary Selden, Associate Director of the CPS.

The CPS currently has more than 25 sponsors and expects over 100 golfers in its second year of the Sales Education Golf Classic.

The Center for Professional Selling (CPS) at Kennesaw State University is one of twenty centers in the United States focused on teaching students the art and science of selling.  KSU is also one of only a handful of universities that offers a 4-year degree program in professional selling.  In this degree program, students are given the opportunity to learn about selling through hands-on simulated sales call scenarios in state-of-the-art lab facilities.  The CPS has a strong commitment to improving the professionalism and effectiveness of the sales profession.
