Friday Football Preview: Knights Travel with Punishing Ground Attack

Model (1-2) at River Ridge (2-0) – When a football team rushes for 355 yards, on average, each week wins tend to come easily. That’s exactly what has done and the Knights sit at 2-0. The Knights will have two things on their minds tonight when they travel to Model: Continue this first-ever winning streak the young program is on, and get revenge for last year’s 52-21 loss to the Blue Devils.

Woodstock (2-1) at Newnan (1-1) – After beating Newnan last year at home, travels 66 and a half miles to Drake Stadium in Newnan. Both teams are coming off non-region losses last week and will be looking to get back on track. Newnan has a stacked front-seven on defense, so the Wolverine ground attack will have to work efficiently when opportunities arise.

North Forsyth (0-3) at Etowah (1-2) – With high expectations, no one expected the Eagles to be sitting at 1-2 after three weeks, but that’s the situation. will play host to North Forsyth tonight, a team that’s averaging just 7.3 points per game. This looks like a perfect opportunity for the Eagles to right the ship.
