West Forsyth Rematch Next for Etowah

Two months after losing to the Wolverines, 21-13, the Eagles will try again in the state playoffs.

will get a second shot at in the first round of the Georgia High School Association AAAAA football playoffs.

The Thursday night at secured the third seed in Region 5-AAAAA for Etowah (6-4 overall, 4-2 in the region), which will travel to West Forsyth to start the postseason.

The 9-1 Wolverines are the second seed from Region 6-AAAAA. Their only loss came to region champ Alpharetta, 27-14, on Sept. 30.

West Forsyth will enter the playoffs with an extra week of rest after finishing its regular season Oct. 28.
