Woodstock Finishes 4th, 6th in Roswell Relays

The girls track team finished fourth and the boys came in sixth Saturday at the Roswell Relays at .

The Wolverine girls totaled 41 points, finishing behind Roswell (97), Hillgrove (67.5) and Chamblee (51) and ahead of 17 other teams. On the much tighter boys side, Woodstock scored 42 to tie with Tucker behind Roswell (66.5), Brookwood (55), North Hall (48) and Creekside (46) and ahead of 12 others.

The relays, co-sponsored by the Roswell Rotary Club and Roswell High School, date back to the 1950s. The full results are available here.

Among the top performers for the Woodstock girls:

• Maya Ramsey finished third in the 100-meter dash at 12.77 seconds.
• Morgan O’Toole grabbed third in the 3,200-meter run at 12:01.97, and teammate Brittney Booz followed in sixth in 12:23.74.
• Booz teamed with Keaton Wallace, Eva Blais and Ciara Troche to finish fourth in the 4x800-meter relay in 10:47.50.
• Ramsey, O’Toole, Whitney Carter and Kaila Rucker were fourth in the 1,600-meter sprint medley at 4:41.31.
• Finishing third in the distance medley were Makensie Block, Wallace, O’Toole and Hannah Frantz.
• Ashley Wallace was second in the triple jump at 34 feet, 1¼ inches.

The standouts for the boys included:

• Jon Wiener won the high jump at 6 feet, 4 inches and was sixth in the long jump at 20 feet, 1¾ inches.
• Alex Broome came in third in the 3,200 meters at 9:59.57.
• Ryan Hendon finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles at 15.48.
• Brett Carter, Sean Hendon, Kyle Hendon and Kyle Beard finished second in the 4x400-meter relay.
• Carter, Beard, Broome and JC Cornett teamed to finish fourth in the distance medley at 10:58.91.
