Feeding a rotation diet of protein sources shown to be a key in the health of dogs

The DogMa Notes:  Feeding a rotation diet of protein sources has been shown to be a key in the health of my four Goldens.  I wouldn't feed my daughter the same thing everyday forever, it wouldn't be a healthy diet.  It's the same with my dogs.  In the wild, canines consume a variety of protein sources.  I make sure to vary the meats. Each protein has its own unique nutrients.  Bringing a wide variety of foods together for your pets will ensure you are getting balance over time.  Rotating proteins alleviates allergies from setting in when one food is fed for a long period of time.  Getting your pets used to eating a variety of foods is possible.  Try adding in a new grain free kibble to your existing kibble little by little.  Add a tablespoon of raw foods a few times a week.   And work up from there.  Find the highest quality products you can afford, from known sources (not China!) and move them in and out of your dog's menu.  With this method, you're adding in more nutrients slowly and not breaking the pocketbook.  We are all in the same boat with a lagging economy.  Make those small changes and over time you will see big benefits.  Transitioning to a complete raw diet is best but, I know it takes time and patience when making the change.  I can help you get started!

Our pets depend on us to feed them the right way. A well fed dog is a healthy dog that enjoys the benefits of a strong immune system and one that avoids common degenerative diseases longer. The proper diet of whole fresh foods with no chemicals can be accomplished and you can save money doing it! The well being, muscle tone and coat quality on our dogs is outstanding and comes from the whole foods that thedogmaonline, llc. feeds and recommends exclusively.

Disclaimer:  thedogmaonline.com always recommends that you consult with your veterinarian when making changes to your pet's diet.  This is our personal experience with our dogs for over 30 years. It works for us and we know it can work for you, too!
