Furrface Have Tummy Troubles? Home Remedies That Work!

What Can Pet Owners Do for Dog Vomiting?

Giving food or water usually makes the vomiting worse. With vomiting the general recommendation is to withhold food and water for 6-8 hours.  Offer a couple of ice cubes and see how it goes, then try small amounts of bland pureed chicken or small pieces, one teaspoon at a time. Offer small amounts every few hours. Give the tea as noted below. Then, gradually begin to add your dog's normal diet back into the bland diet in one-quarter increments over the next few days. If your dog is doing well, try to speed up the process. If he's not ready roll it back and go slow again. The tea works wonders.

What Home Remedies are Effective for Mild Dog Vomiting?

Remedy #1: Mix half a cup of fresh minced parsley with one cup of water. Boil five minutes, strain, cool and add one teaspoon of honey. Give one tablespoon of the final solution every 10 minutes.

Peppermint or Fennel Tea (can combine)

Remedy #2. Prepare as directed. Cool tea, use a dropper.  A few droppers full every 20 minutes until dog is feeling better. Put the dropper in the cheek and hold muzzel closed so the liquid goes down. Add a little honey to taste.
