Emeritus at Woodstock Receptionist is a 'Caring Champion'
Cathy Miller was named a runner-up in the nationwide 2013 Caring Champions contest.
A receptionist at a local senior living facility was recently recognized nationwide for her dedication to caring for seniors.
Cathy Miller of Emeritus at Woodstock, was named a runner-up in the 2013 Caring Champions contest, a competition for professional caregivers who were nominated by employers for "going above and beyond the call of duty in caring for seniors."
Over 80 nominations were submitted, and winners were chosen from a mix of over 5,000 social votes and analysis by an expert panel.
An ever-present fixture at the front desk of Emeritus, Miller is "the go-to person for any question that might be asked," according to the nomination submitted for Miller.
Caring Champions gave $500 to the grand prize winner and $100 was given to each runner up. Selena Brown of Rest Assured Nursing, Inc. in California was named the grand prize winner.

- Abby Schroeder of Boardman Lake Glens in Traverse City, Michigan
- Bunny Curry of Azura Memory Care in Eau Claire, Wisconsin
- Dawn Lamb of Roland Park Place in Baltimore, Maryland
- Dorothy Boozer of Autumn Cove Retirement Community in Anniston, Alabama
