9/11 Day of Remembrance, Free Concerts This Week in Woodstock

We have a rundown of what's going on this week in Woodstock and Towne Lake.

Woodstock and Towne Lake has numerous things going on this week, but we've compiled the top five things you should keep your eye on:

  • On Wednesday at 7 p.m., the city of Woodstock and the Woodstock Jaycees will hold their annual 9/11 Day of Remembrance at the Park at City Center.
  • The Jazz Jones Legacy will take the stage Thursday at noon for Woodstock's free Brown Bag Concert Series, which will be held each Thursday at lunch time in downtown Woodstock. 
  • The last installment of the 2013 Summer Concert Series will be Saturday. The Marshall Tucker Band will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. at the Park at City Center.  
  • The deadline to apply to be considered for new positions in the Woodstock Police Department ends Friday. Details can be found here
  • Registration opens tomorrow for Cherokee Cornhole for a Cause, which is an event that will help raise funds for the International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association (IMDSA). The tournament will be on Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at River Church on Sixes Road near Canton.
