Christmas Craft Show, Santa Open House in Woodstock

We have the rundown of what's happening this week in Woodstock and Towne Lake.

As you get back into the groove of the work week, Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch will keep you updated on what's happening this week in southern Cherokee County:

  • Foxtale Book Shoppe in downtown Woodstock will have an open house to celebrate being named the Best Bookstore in Atlanta by Atlanta Magazine. The open house will start at noon on Saturday and the bookstore is at 105 East Main Street.
  • The monthly arts and crafts show at Latimer Hall in Woodstock will feature a slew of Christmas-themed artisans. The show will be held between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday.
  • Elm Street Arts will host Santa’s Open House and Gallery of Lights between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday. The event will be held at the Grainger house at 111 Elm Street, and will include an appearance by Santa Claus and his elves, the Snow Princess and other visitors from the North Pole.
  • The 2nd annual Holiday Lights of Hope is now up and running at Hobgood Park. The event is a fundraiser for the Anna Crawford Children's Center. The display will be open to the public between 6 p.m. and 10 pm. through Sunday, Dec. 21. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for children 14 and under.
  • You can stop by any fire station in Cherokee County to donate a new, unwrapped toy for Toys For Tots, which ensures less fortunate children have Christmas gifts. Residents can drop off toys between now and Dec. 18.
