Hats Off To Cancer, Unity Breakfast This Week in Woodstock

Here's the rundown on what's happening this week in and around Woodstock.

As you get back into the groove of the work week, Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch will keep you updated on what's happening this week in southern Cherokee County:

  • The Learning Experience in Woodstock on Monday, Jan. 13 will honor National Hat Day by collecting hats to be donated to cancer patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
  • It's now time to register for Hobgood Baseball. The deadline to register for age groups 4U-12U will be Friday, Jan. 15.
  • The annual MLK Unity Breakfast, hosted by Cherokee County and Allen Temple AME Church, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday Jan. 18 at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center. The event is free and open to the public.
  • For all you procrastinators, you can still recycle your Christmas tree! Stop by Hobgood Park or Sequoyah Park between now and Jan. 31 to recycle those trees.
  • Project Valentine is asking residents to donate candy and toiletries items that will be distributed to senior citizens at two nursing facilities.
