Service League Mixer, Library Book Sale This Week in Woodstock

Here's the rundown on what's happening this week in and around Woodstock.

As you get back into the groove of the work week, Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch will keep you updated on what's happening this week in southern Cherokee County: 

  • FoxTale Book Shoppe tonight will host bestselling author Susanna Kearsley in celebrating the release of The Splendour Falls. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • The Junior Service League of Woodstock will hold its mixer Tuesday Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Leaning Ladder Premium Olive Oils and Vinegars in downtown Woodstock. The event is designed to inform residents about the organization and its mission in southern Cherokee County.
  • The Friends of the Library will hold a book sale at R.T. Jones Memorial Library on Friday Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. A preview sale for members only will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday Jan. 23. 
  • You can still register for eighth annual Guns & Hoses 5K, which is a friendly competition between the Cherokee Sheriff's Office and Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services. This year's run will raise money for the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch. 
  • Project Valentine is asking residents to donate candy and toiletries items that will be distributed to senior citizens at two nursing facilities.
