South Cherokee Recreation Association is comprised of a group of volunteers who manage the teams and schedules for the ballparks on Old Highway 5, just north of East Cherokee Road. There are both girls and boys softball leagues that range in age from 3 to 18 years old. Sign-ups are in January and August. The park has six softball fields and three baseball fields, and there is plenty of space for parking.
