The Woodstock Police Department handles patrol operations, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, crime analysis, training, school crossing guard services and administrative support services. 

David Bores has been the Chief of Police since January 7, 2009. He has served in the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office for 16 years.

The police department is focusing on the Nation of Neighbors program. This program allows neighbors to share local crime, suspicious activity and other community concerns immediately.
