Public Works oversees the streets, Wastewater Treatment Plant, residential and business sewer system and also provides maintenance and engineering services.

The public works is broken into five departments: water and sewer; stormwater; engineering; and wastewater treatment plan. Each department has different responsibilities and together they provide the following services.

Some major functions include emergency road repairs; fallen tree removal; design, engineering and management of contracted road and building projects; management of solid waste and recyclable collection and disposal; preparation of an annual water quality testing report; management of town vehicles; and the repair, replacement and installation of various street and traffic control signs.
