I don't understand how this man is charged if the motorcycle hit his car? Did I miss something?
Kristal Dixon (Editor) April 18, 2014 at 07:29 am
Note the failure to yield charge...?
Nikki Lance April 18, 2014 at 09:15 am
Heather Hanes Bergner, the man turned left WITHOUT a green arrow in front of the motorcycle. MeaningRead More the motorcycle had the right of way.. RIP LUKE your family is in our prayers..
Dennis Doty wanted by the Woodstock Police Department on terroristic threats, obstruction and disorderly conduct charges. Credit: Cherokee Sheriff's Office
Frank Jones April 17, 2014 at 09:34 am
I didn't know Mr. Doty but I always hate to hear someone has been shot and killed by an officer. IRead More hope that the shooting was justified and that the state and District Attorney do their jobs in investigating what happened. Could the Sheriff's department be trying to justify the shooting by reporting that Mr. Doty had been booked on criminal tresspassing (but not convicted 10 years ago) and had outstanding warrants for "terroristic threats, obstruction and disorderly conducts". Patch could have and should have reported more information as to the background of these warrants and history.
Drew Meister April 17, 2014 at 01:29 pm
Why is it that the Patch has reported nothing of the attempt to hijack the detention van?
Jay Montana April 18, 2014 at 09:38 am
I really hope there is more to this story, if not it's just another example of inexperienced cops inRead More Cherokee county abusing their power

He goes by Bob, and several other nicknames by others. He's 65, not 63, and should have just had aRead More birthday in March. Born under the Chinese sign of the RAT! He's very proud of his military background with the Army and GSDF. Growing up with this idiot all I ever heard was Warrior Ethos (Army's Creed) especially when he was drunk, which was all the time. "I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade." Only with him the lines were always blurred on who the enemy really was, especially when he was drunk. He was called a positional bargainer, for his ability to keep secrets, bluff, and apply threats. He's always bragged about these skills. He's trained in Martial Arts and has always maintained the posterior of a "Warrior" ready for battle, especially when he was drunk! In the last 33 years I've never seen him "battle" anyone except me and my mother, but I've heard endless stories. In 33 years I've never witnessed him rise to defend or assist anyone in need, including those he labels "loved ones." In fact he was always the first one to split in times of adversity or need. If he was having chest pain why didn't he go to the hospital?

So heartbroken. Luke you will be missed. Forever in our hearts.

Looks like Krystal is done with this story.... Bob was arrested Tuesday for Vehicular Homicide andRead More Failing to Yield... not nearly severe enough (both misdemeanors) but then I bet they never tested him for being under the influence either!

Previous crimes matter because they show a pattern of unlawful behavior. Witnesses are alwaysRead More sequestered so that their testimony remains free of bias based on the testimony of others. Circumstantial evidence is often the most revealing. This man was convicted of a very, very violent act against young children with whom he had direct access and control over thanks to their mother because women can't stop serving their young children up to their boyfriends even though statistically he probably chose her BECAUSE she had two young daughters. Where the heck is their actual father? Men - be responsible with your kids and women - stop leaving your kids in the hands of boyfriends!!!!!!!

What I do not understand is ……this guy is in the court room and just got sentenced,Read More and was therefore (or should have been) in the custody of court officers/police ……How the heck did he get away in the first place and why did they not catch him before he got into his truck.
