Woodstock Soldiers Return Home Today from Afghanistan
Both Sgt. Thomas Holman and Sgt. Aaron Arthur are returning from a 12-month deployment with the 265th Regional Support Group Agribusiness Development Team 2.
Two Woodstock soldiers will be among the 265th Regional Support Group Agribusiness Development Team 2 that will return to American soil today. Sgt. Thomas Holman and Sgt. Aaron Arthur, both of Woodstock, will return with the group in a ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Georgia Army National Guard Armory near Metter. The ADT II is a team of agriculture and security experts who are trained to revitalizing agriculture in Afghanistan. The team mobilized on Feb. 20, 2012, as part of the Georgia National Guard's Regional Support Group. The team is made up of about 40 soldiers from 31 different communities. The specialists instructed farmers in Afghanistan on topics such as sustainable farming practices, water conservation and food shortage methods. "…
