Woodstock Green Lights Memory Care Facility, New Ward Maps
The Woodstock City Council approved a rezoning request to build a memory care facility and the new boundaries for its six wards.
A new assisted living and memory care facility could soon be on the way for Woodstock. The Woodstock City Council approved a request from Alpharetta-based Woodstock SLP, LLC to rezone 6.63 acres property located east of Trickum Road and north of Popcorn Drive to accommodate an assisted living/memory care facility. About 4.3 acres was zoned office space and institutional and roughly 2.33 acres was zoned general commercial and the council's unanimous approve rezones the entire property to senior living to allow the company to build the facility. The proposal includes building a 59-unit 40,000-square-feet, one-level facility. The council also approved the second reading of an ordinance that would redraw the boundaries of its six wards. The …
