Woodstock Mayor, Council Members To Seek Re-election

Mayor Donnie Henriques and Council members Randy Brewer, Bob Mueller and Bud Leonard will all run for another term in the city's municipal elections in the fall.

The four incumbents in Woodstock who are up for re-election will once gain toss their hats into the political arena this fall. Mayor Donnie Henriques, Ward 1 Councilman Randy Brewer, Ward 3 Councilman Bob Mueller and Ward 5 Councilman Bud Leonard have all declared their intentions to seek re-election to the Woodstock City Council.  Henriques will be seeking his third term as mayor. In a press release, the mayor noted his desire to see the proposed amphitheatre completed, the expansion of the city's grid streets and the widening of Towne Lake Parkway and Arnold Mill Road were all "incentives in wanting to run for re-election." Woodstock Councilman Mueller's Wife Passes

A private service for Carolyn Mueller, who passed away after a battle with cancer, will be held next week.

The wife of Woodstock City Council member Bob Mueller passed away early Saturday morning after a long battle with cancer, the city announced in an emailed statement. The family will have a private service for Carolyn Mueller. Condolences can be mailed to 324 Independence Way, Woodstock, GA 30188. The city also asks for residents to "keep council member Mueller and his family in your thoughts and prayers."
