Last Summer on Earth Brings '90s Hits to Town
Four '90s bands – Cracker, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Blues Traveler and Barenaked Ladies – cranked it up at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre last night.
You might think the ‘90s were all grunge and flannel. But you’ve just forgotten about those lazy Sunday afternoons with a beer in your hand and Blues Traveler on the CD player. Or the time you took a road trip across two states to see a Barenaked Ladies concert. In a bit of nostalgia, four bands reminded us that the ‘90s weren’t all Pearl Jam, as they brought the Last Summer on Earth tour to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park. With complaints about the July heat and humidity, some concertgoers might have wished it were in fact the last summer like this one. But when the music was cranking, they seemed to forget about the weather, as Blues Traveler and Barenaked Ladies easily competed for the headline act. While the sun still …

I work for the stage/sound/lighting company used on the Edwin McCain show. I had problems with a spring on the fifth wheel of my truck. I had to have it fixed or the stage would not have left the premises that night. Three of the Woodstock Parks and Rec employees helped me out picking up a spring for me as the hardware store closed and the repair on truck was made. A big huge thank you from this …   more ›
