Students who hail from Woodstock recently celebrated college milestones.
Alexander Burgess recently graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in applied arts and sciences from RIT's Center for Multidisciplinary Studies in the winter 2012-13 quarter. Zuzana Kocsisova recently graduated from the University of Evansville with degrees of bachelor of arts and bachelor of science. Kocsisova majored in chemistry and biology. Three colleges recently announced academic successes for three students who hail from Woodstock.
Three Woodstock students recently achieve academic milestones in their collegiate careers. David Buuck was named to the dean's list at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, while Colin W. Baxley was named to the dean's list at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. Three students from Woodstock were recently named to Dean's Lists at regional colleges and universities.
Three students from Woodstock recently achieved collegiate academic success. Derek Holdway and Garret Duron were named to Carson-Newman College's Dean List for the fall 2012 semester. Claire Victoria Zimmerman was named to the Dean's List at Brenau University for the fall 2012 semester as well. At Brenau, must maintain at least a 3.6 grade point average while carrying at least 15 semester hours of course work to be named to its Dean's List. For Carson-Newman, students earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while taking 12 or more credit hours are named to the Dean's List and are honored at a reception sponsored by the Academic Affairs Office and Alpha Chi Honor Society. Several students from Woodstock received academic recognition for their excellent performances in their courses. Georgia College and State University recently named Woodstock students Hannah Bostardi, Gabrielle Carrier, Lauren Crapo, Cailin Freemyer, Richard Harbin, Allen Lewis, Tara McCarthy, Ashley Brennan, Carolyn Davis, Marissa Goodman and Jessica Stevens-Carr to the President's List.
