Leaders are Thankful for Success of Fall Events

More than 2,500 people attended the third annual Fields of Faith, sponsored by Cherokee Fellowship of Christian Athletes and held at Cherokee High School’s football field last in October. According to student leader Brandon Roberts, “91 souls were either saved or rededicated.” Cherokee FCA Area Director Bill Queen called it “a great night of praise, worship and testimonies.” An FCA golf tournament fundraiser held Oct. 2 raised $40,000. The event fielded 128 golfers, with a silent auction that featured game jerseys of Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Julio Jones and Michael Turner. An Atlanta Falcon’s helmet signed by the team was also among the one-of-a-kind items up for bids. On Coaches Date Night, coaches and spouses were treated to live acoustic…

3rd Annual Fields Of Faith at Tommy Baker Field

The 3rd annual Fields of Faith was once again a huge success as several thousand attended.

A cool Wednesday evening at Cherokee High School's Tommy Baker Field was the scene of FCA's Field of Faith that saw several thousand members of the community came together for a night of sharing and worship.  Cherokee High School student Brandon Roberts originally brought the idea of the Fields of Faith to fruition in Cherokee County after discovering the event through a FCA Leadership camp.  Through Brandon's efforts and working with community leaders Bill Queen, Area Director of Fellowship of Christain Athletes for Cherokee County and Amy Turcotte who at the time worked with FCA the event continues to be an opportunity for the community to learn about Christ and inspiring individuals.   When asked about what Fields of Faith means to him…
