A number of different weapons in the air and on the ground assured Creekview its second victory of the year.
In the Creekview home opener, the Grizzlies wasted no time outscoring River Ridge 24-0 in the first half. Quarterback Hayden Hall had completions to Will Kirby (No. 26), Hunter Udall (21) and Connor Dulmage (5). On the ground, Isaiah Rogers (27) and Chandler Wold (18) moved the Grizzlies downfield. The second half continued Creekview's production. With the exception of a third quarter lapse that cost the Grizzlies a touchdown and another score for River Ridge in the second half, Creekview came out with a decisive 34-14 victory. The Grizzlies have set the tone for the season. Even with some difficult opponents ahead, Creekview has shown that it wants to have a winning season and plans to make a run for post season play.

Woodstock will play Johns Creek High in the first game of the state's 2012-13 high school football season.
Woodstock will play in the state’s first regular-season football game Thursday at home against Johns Creek in a game televised by WSB. The Tribune quotes athletic director Scott Krug as saying it’s the prefect way begin the school year. “It’s going to be awesome,” he said. “Normally, the (Corky Kell Classic) games played at the (Georgia) Dome kick off the year, so were honored to host Johns Creek. It’s great to be able to kick off the whole state. Getting to play on TV is something that doesn’t happen often, or …
