GBI IDs Man Killed in I-75 Chase
Jerome George “Jerry” Cundy of Woodstock led Cherokee and Cobb authorities on a chase after he allegedly robbed a Woodstock convenience store Sunday morning.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the man killed Sunday in an officer-involved shooting on I-75 as 53-year-old Jerome George “Jerry” Cundy of Woodstock. Cundy allegedly robbed a Woodstock convenience store Sunday morning, then led Cobb and Cherokee law enforcement on a chase from a Marathon station on Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock and down I-75, to just south of the North Marietta Parkway. Police stopped the vehicle there, and Cundy aimed his gun at officers, who shot and killed him, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said Sunday. GBI spokesman John Bankhead offered no other details in the case, which remains under investigation. Southbound I-75 traffic was halted at the North Marietta Parkway around 11 a.m. Sunday. …

To all those that made horrible comments about my father don't even know the real story. Just to let u know the police knew it was a fake toy gun! They knew that from seeing the video camera at Walgreens where the side of the gun was missing. There was also 2 hours between the two stores.
