Lazy Girl Fitness

Getting With the Program

My health and fitness to-do list.

For the first few weeks of my fitness journey, I thought the best way to hold onto that New Year's motivation was to begin with a temporary overload. Miller, 26, said he enjoys performing live shows for the chance to let others experience his music. "I love to play live. I've had 13 years of playing for the wall, and it's served its purpose, but the thrill of sharing my music with others is an addiction I have no plans of giving up any time soon." Miller's style is in a genre of its own. Miller describes it as folk, with a hint of soul. "And a healthy dose of melancholia," he added. His live set …

Of all our country's varied holidays, the tradition of New Year and its call for resolutions is one of the most inspiring. Thousands upon thousands of people, from different backgrounds and with uniquely personal reasons, will choose this moment to reflect on their lives and take those first uncertain steps toward leading better ones. The citizens of Woodstock are no exception. "It's kind of like a fresh start," said Kevin Golstoen. "Coming into a new year, everyone has things they need to work on. You want to start with a better food forward." Golstoen is a man who understands the importance of this tradition. As a fitness coach at L.A. Fitness in Towne Lake, he is an eloquent speaker on the topic, who has seen his fair share of …
