Albers Wins New Term
Local incumbents keeps their seats in the State Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.
It was a long night Tuesday, but when the votes were all totaled U.S. Congressman Tom Price, Sen. John Albers and the Roswell bond referendum all came out on top. Albers, also a Republican, bested Democrat Akhtar Sadiq with 65.62 percent of the vote in the State Senate District 56 race. Albers told Patch in his next term he has three specific initiatives he'll focus on: State House District Republican incumbent Harry Geisinger faced no challenger in the race for his District 48 seat. He received 97.80 percent of the vote. Albers will serve for another two-year term. The only other contested state house race inlcudes the House District 46 seat.
