Shane and Meg Ladner, who were involved in a train accident in Texas, could return to the Atlanta area by the end of the weekend.
Holly Springs Police Officer Shane Ladner and wife Meg Ladner will soon return to the Atlanta area. That's according to Holly Springs Police Chief Ken Ball, who provided an update to on the Ladner's condition. Ball posted on the Holly Springs-Hickory Flat Facebook Page Saturday afternoon, informing residents that Meg Ladner is stable and there are plans to fly the couple back to an Atlanta area hospital "in the next day or so." Ball said Meg Ladner will be admitted to an Atlanta area hospital where she will continue to recover from injuries she sustained in the accident, which occurred late Thursday afternoon in Midland, Texas. Officer Shane Ladner remains hospitalized and is being treated for injuries he suffered while participating in the Hunt For Heroes event.
UPDATE 4:07 p.m.: Meg Ladner's condition has been upgraded to stable. Her left leg was amputated, but there is no other update on her overall condition. While there was talk of flying Ladner back to the Atlanta area, no decision has been made. It could be as late as Monday before flight arrangements are made.
