The company has shut down its location on Eagle Drive in Towne Lake.
A family-owned business know for its wide variety of draft beers will close its Towne Lake location. Summits Wayside Tavern has shuttered its operations this week after being open in Cherokee County since 2008. Patch has reached out to owner Andy Klubock, but has not heard back. However, the company leave a message on its website for its patrons. "We have had five years of fun and friendship with all of our loyal patrons in Towne Lake," it wrote. "It has been our pleasure to serve you and your families. It has been a privilege to be a part of your lives. The Towne Lake community has been one that we've genuinely felt fortunate to be a part of. We will miss all of you and hope to see your friendly faces at one of our other locations." …

The five people inside the home escaped the blaze that allegedly started when a car caught on fire.
Five people were able to escape injury after a portion of a home caught fire early Friday morning. Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and the Woodstock Fire Department both responded to the fire, which broke out shortly before 1 a.m. at 1024 Ashfern Walk, located off Bells Ferry Road near Hobgood Park. According to a press release from Cherokee Fire, a caller told Cherokee County E-911 that a vehicle located just inches from the house broke out in a fire. Minutes later, dispatchers were told the home's garage was on fire. By the time fire fighters arrived on the scene, about two-thirds of the home was on fire and heavy smoke could be seen coming from the house.
