The company plans to move into a facility near Hutcheson Horticulture later this year. Spencer Nix, CEO of Reformation Brewery, said the company did in fact sign a lease, but it's currently in a "due diligence" period in which they have 60 days to decide whether they will move forward. Representatives with Reformation Brewery outlined their business plans to the Woodstock Downtown Development Authority on Thursday.

A Cherokee County-based brewery could open up near downtown Woodstock by the summer. The company was at the meeting to request the DDA change the downtown area's boundary lines to include property they plan to utilize for their business, which was approved unanimously by the board.  The change was needed so the company can be eligible to receive a Downtown Development Revolving Loan from the state Department of Community Affairs. Woodstock Trolley Issue Resurfaces, Forces Stop In Service

The Woodstock Downtown Development Authority has for the second time this week sidelined the trolley it's leasing from Cherokee County.

Nearly two days after getting back up and running, a trolley being tested for popularity by the Woodstock Downtown Development Authority has once again been retired for use. "We are sad to announce that the downtown Woodstock trolley service scheduled for the rest of December has been cancelled," Main Street Woodstock reported on its Facebook page Saturday morning. "The engine issue that we thought had been fixed earlier this week reoccurred last night while the trolley was in service." It was the second time this week DDA officials had to cancel the planned use for the trolley. The DDA is leasing the vehicle from Cherokee County for the month of December to test how much ridership it would receive. The county isn't charging the DDA to …

Woodstock Trolley Back Online

The trolley's engine troubles have been resolved.

After announcing on Wednesday that it would have to halts its temporary trolley service, the Woodstock Downtown Development Authority has confirmed the vehicle's engine problems have been resolved.   Kyle Bennett, assistant director of tourism and visitor center operations, noted the trolley's "minor" issue was fixed by Cherokee County mechanics earlier today. The DDA is leasing the vehicle from the county for the month of December to test its popularity. If the trolley is deemed popular, the DDA would consider purchasing the vehicle from the county and use it to shuttle people from the downtown area to the Ridgewalk area.  Mechanics from the county noted they believed water seeped into the trolley's fuel tank, creating condensation that …

The trolley leased by the Woodstock Downtown Development Authority from Cherokee County has been discontinued by the city due to engine problems.

A trolley being tested for its popularity by the Woodstock Downtown Development Authority has been taken out of service. The trolley's engine is sputtering and stalling out, said Kyle Bennett, assistant director of tourism and visitor center operations. "If the issue can be fixed quickly, we will resume trolley service for the test schedule we had laid out," he added. "However if the issue can not be fixed quickly, we will be forced to cancel the rest of the trolley schedule for December." The DDA last month entered into a lease agreement with Cherokee County, which owns the trolley, to test its popularity during the month of December. Someone with the county visited Woodstock to look at the trolley to diagnose the problem, but Bennett …

For 100 years, the “Bully” was known as the “Nanny Dog”, strong, loyal, intelligent and courageous. Their main goal is to please their owner. Sadly the qualities of the breed attracted the “criminal element” which has victimized the breed. Because of their reputation, at least 6,000 pit bulls are put to death EVERY DAY, the highest number of any other breed. Before the pit bulls were being …   more ›
