David, my only question is this, why didn't the police use less then lethal weapons? we use them all the time in prison and jail! The administrators should have had these brave officers armed with both lethal and less then lethal. Maybe this young man would be alive today if the choice was made to take him into custody using less then extreme measures. I will repeat myself, I DO NOT BLAME THE POLICE, JUST THE ADMINISTRATORS THAT GIVE THEM THE TRAINING TO DEAL WITH THESE HOSTILE SITUATIONS!

ReplyOk lets think about this. There is a push in the law enforcement community to use less then lethal weapons. Why wasn't Gas or other less then lethal weapons used on this young man. We use them in prisons and jails all the time! This makes me wonder if we elect a new sheriff in Cherokee County, will he ensure that Less then Lethal weapons are used first before more drastic measures are taken!

dw, I am a LEO and I have used less then lethal weapons before. look up pepperball gun. watch the video's and you will see exactly what I was talking about.
