North Georgia Art Ramble Comes to Woodstock

This year's North Georgia Art Ramble will take place Dec. 7-8 in several north Georgia cities.

The second annual North Georgia Art Ramble will make a stop in Woodstock.

The free, self-guided, open studio tour of 44 studios and galleries will take place in several cities, including Woodstock, Calhoun, Cartersville, Waleska, Canton, Ball Ground, Jasper, Marble Hill, Dawsonville, Cumming, Buford, Johns Creek, Duluth and Roswell.

The Ramble will take place on Dec. 7-8 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

In Woodstock, four studios and artists — Jimmy and Marlene Hopkins, Nancy Cann, Ann Litrel and The Photo Factory and Studio — will open their shops to like minded residents who have a passion for the arts.

Metal workers Jimmy and Marlene Hopkins are located at 125 Ledford Lane while glass artist Nancy Cann sits at 5181 Shotwell Street.

Ann Litrel, located at 8594 Main Street, will be one of five artists who will be on hand to demonstrate and talk about their art.

The Photo Factory and Studio, located at 195 Stockwood Drive Suite 100, will have the works of local photographers and artists Kim Bates, Bob Moffa and Bob Schmiedt on display and to sell at the studio.

Over 70 artists will open up their homes and studios to the public to talk about their crafts. A full list of participating artists can be viewed on event's website

A pre-ramble party will be held at the Cherokee Arts Center in downtown Canton, located at 94 North Street. The party kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
